The inspiration for Midnight Blue
Midnight Blue is a deeply personal project, inspired by the love of my life, Bonnie. We've been together since our teenage years, and our passion is so profound that I literally miss her when I sleep if I don't dream of her. As corny as that may sound, it's true, and I know I can't be the only one who feels such intense emotions for another person. This album is a testament to that enduring love.
Navigating honesty and playfulness
During the creation of Midnight Blue, I faced the challenge of balancing raw honesty with a sense of fun and playfulness. It was important for me to express genuine emotions and experiences, but also to infuse the music with the lighthearted joy that life brings. This balance shaped the album's unique sound and lyrical depth.
What I hope listeners feel
I hope that listeners will hear and enjoy all my songs and albums as they come out. More than anything, I want them to simply feel—whether it's the rawness of love and loss, or the inspiration to have fun and find joy in the people around them. Life is a lot more fun if you don't take yourself too seriously, and it's definitely easier to push through the tough times as well.
